What is the specific processing method for plywood

Veneer veneer for plywood generally adopts single-sided adhesive coating, and the amount of adhesive applied varies with the type of substrate and the thickness of the veneer. For example, when using plywood as the substrate and the thickness of the thin wood is ≤ 0.4mm, the single-sided adhesive coating amount of the substrate is 110-120g/m ²; When the thickness of the thin wood is>0.4mm, the amount of glue applied is 145-170g/m ². When using multi-layer boards as the substrate, the single-sided adhesive amount is 170-200g/m ², and when using composite boards as the substrate, the single-sided adhesive amount is about 150g/m ². When applying glue, the thickness of the adhesive layer should be uniform and appropriate to prevent the occurrence of glue penetration, insufficient glue, or missing glue. To ensure uniform application of adhesive, a glue applicator with a squeezer roller is often used, which is a rubber roller without grooves.
When using the wet pasting process for veneer, thermosetting adhesive is first applied to the surface of the plywood, and the paper is attached to the surface of the plywood. After aging for a period of time, adhesive is applied to the surface of the paper, and then thin wood glue is applied to the surface of the paper. Due to the interlocking of the glue on both sides of the paper, it seeps into the paper. When using the dry bonding process, hot melt resin adhesive is first applied to the surface of the plywood, and the paper is laid flat on the adhesive surface of the substrate. After the adhesive cools and solidifies, the thin wood is then coated with adhesive tape on the paper surface. The dry adhesive method is hindered by the air inside the paper and cannot penetrate well, making the paper prone to interlayer peeling. When using criss cross textured patchwork, the mutual restraint itself can prevent cracks in the plywood, and there is no need to apply stickers to the plywood
