1. Solid wood boards
As the name suggests, solid wood boards are wood boards made of complete wood. These boards are durable and have natural grains, and are the best choice for decoration. However, due to the high cost of such boards and high construction process requirements, they are not used much in decoration. Solid wood boards are generally classified according to the actual name of the board, and there is no unified standard specification. At present, except for floors and door panels that use solid wood boards, the boards we generally use are artificial boards processed by hand.

2. Plywood
Plywood, also known as plywood, is commonly known as fine core board in the industry. It is made of three or more layers of one millimeter thick veneer or thin board glued and hot pressed. It is currently the most commonly used material for handmade homes. Plywood is generally divided into six specifications: 3 cm, 5 cm, 9 cm, 12 cm, 15 cm and 18 cm (1 cm is 1 mm).

3. Decorative panels
Decorative panels, commonly known as panels. It is a decorative board with a single-sided decorative effect made by slicing solid wood boards into thin veneers with a thickness of about 0.2 mm, using plywood as the base material and through a gluing process. It is a special form of plywood, with a thickness of 3 cm.

4. Blockboard
Blockboard, commonly known as large core board. Large core board is made of two pieces of veneer glued and spliced ​​in the middle. The price of large core board is cheaper than that of thin core board, and its vertical (distinguished by the direction of the core material) bending and compressive strength is poor, but the horizontal bending and compressive strength is higher.

5. Particleboard
Particleboard is a thin board made of wood chips as the main raw material, then infiltrated with glue and additives and pressed. According to the pressing method, it can be divided into two categories: extruded particleboard and flat pressed particleboard. The main advantage of this type of board is its low price. Its disadvantage is also obvious: poor strength. It is generally not suitable for making larger furniture or furniture with mechanical requirements.

6. Density board
Density board, also known as fiberboard. It is an artificial board made of wood fiber or other plant fiber, with urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesives. According to its density, it is divided into high-density board, medium-density board, etc. Density board is soft and impact-resistant, and it is also easy to reprocess. In foreign countries, density board is a good material for making furniture, but because the national standard for high-density board is several times lower than the international standard, the quality of density board in my country needs to be improved.

7. Fireproof board
Fireproof board is a decorative board made of siliceous material or calcium material as the main raw material, mixed with a certain proportion of fiber material, lightweight aggregate, adhesive and chemical additives, and made by autoclaving technology. It is a new type of material that is increasingly used, and its use is not only due to fire prevention factors. The construction of fireproof board has high requirements for glue, and the price of high-quality fireproof board is more expensive than decorative panel. The thickness of fireproof board is generally 0.8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm.

8. Melamine board
Melamine board, whose full name is melamine impregnated film paper facing artificial board, is a wall decoration material. Its manufacturing process is to soak paper with different colors or textures in melamine resin adhesive, then dry it to a certain degree of solidification, and lay it on the surface of particleboard, medium-density fiberboard or hardboard, and then heat-press it to form a decorative board.
